NICOTINE
The alkaloid from the tobacco plant, Nicotiniana tabacum, derives its stimulating effect partly from its stimulating influence on acetylcholinergic receptors in the CNS, a number of which are situated at the nerve ends of the mesolimbic dopaminergic system, by which the supply of dopamine in this system is stimulated.
