CAFFEINE
Caffeine is by far the most widely used stimulant, and its effects are strongly
underrated.
It has a stimulating effect because of its ability to inhibit the enzyme
phosphodiesterase.
This enzyme cyclically breaks down AMP, the second messenger for a number of neural
transmission systems, including the noradrenaline system.
